Staff Team

Andrew Peterson

Lead Pastor

The Petersons (Andrew, Brittany, Avery, Judah, and Oakley) moved to SLP to start CityVision Church (now Park Community Church) in August of 2012.

Andrew and Brittany met at Crown College, where Andrew received a B.S. in Youth Ministry and M.A. in Christian Studies, while also serving on the pastoral staff at a church in the west metro for seven years.

Andrew is passionate about declaring the Word of God and seeing God’s kingdom advanced through the establishment and multiplication of the local church. Andrew & Brittany love their kids, family, friends, neighborhood, baseball, nachos, and TV.

Ben Brandt

Music & Groups Pastor

Ben and his family moved to the SLP area in 2013 to help launch the church plant that merged to create Park Community. His primary roles at Park include leading the music ministry and overseeing Community Groups. He loves coming alongside ministries and leaders to help them flourish.

Ben grew up in Grand Marais and met his wife, Jenni, during his years at Bethel University where he received a BA in Sacred Music. They like each other, and their three kiddos, Ellie, Claire, & Bjorn, and their dog, Daisy, and this church community. Ben also enjoys eating, hiking, and songwriting.

Mark Johnson

Director of Operations

Mark has been a vital part of Park’s leadership since the beginning of the CityVision Church plant five years ago, which merged to create Park Community. He is also currently on our Elder Team.

With a degree from Crown College in Urban Ministry (’09) and a Masters in Ministry Leadership (’18), Mark brings skills of organization and strategic planning, working to strengthen Park’s ministry systems and structures as we grow.

Mark lives in Robbinsdale with his wife Jenn, son Adoniram, and daughter Annabelle. Most of life is spent raising two kids under 4 years old, but when they have free time they enjoy reading, music, and relaxing outside.

Emily Hedstrom

Director of Family Ministries

Emily is passionate about child development, serving kids and their families, and making disciples of Jesus. She graduated from Winona State University with a degree in Elementary Education. All of her jobs have revolved around children, including working as a camp counselor, special education paraprofessional, and upper elementary school teacher.

Growing up a pastors kid, serving in the local church has always been important. She has served throughout her life in childrens ministry, youth ministry in college, and most recently serving consistently at Park Community Church.

When she isn’t with kids, Emily loves running, throwing clay on the wheel, or baking sourdough bread. She also loves to spend time with that tall guy with glasses 🙂

Eric Hedstrom

Pastoral Intern

Eric is a tall guy with glasses who is loved by Jesus. He got a B.A. from the University of North Dakota in “University Studies” after deciding to pursue his calling to ministry rather than a doctorate in Physical Therapy. He spent a year as a Campus Missionary in Training with Chi Alpha and is currently working on a M.A. in Greek and Theology from Bethlehem Seminary.
As the pastoral resident, Eric helps oversee the community groups as well as men’s ministry events while benefiting from the combined ministry experience of the rest of staff. He hopes to plant a church like Park some day that cherishes the gospel and takes seriously the great commission!
Eric and his wife, Emily, enjoy visiting national parks and hiking until they’re sunburned. They also love Taco Bell, playing cribbage, going to the cabin, and watching The Great British Baking Show.

Dana Isder

Communications Coordinator

Originally from South Dakota, Dana has remained in the Twin Cities since she graduated from Bethel University with a B.A. in Communications. Dana has enjoyed freelancing in graphic design and communications for non-profit organizations  from home since having children.

Dana and her husband, Nate, love serving alongside the people of Park. She enjoys bringing messages, events and other communications to life in visually appealing ways.

Most days Dana can be found at home snuggling her three children, Grace, Henry and Colette. When not potty training or picking up, Dana loves baking, decorating, drinking coffee with friends and Target drive-up.

Stacie Sneesby

Director of Senior Adults

Stacie has been a member of Park since 2000. In 2001, Park sent her to India as a Global Partner for 6 months …. which turned into 17 years. She met her husband Chuck, a cheesehead from WI, while serving in India, and they were married at Park in 2004 before returning to India as a couple. Their two children, Benjamin and Charis, were both born in India, where Stacie worked with different medical NGOs (non-government organizations) as a physical therapist, with her kiddos in tow. In July of 2017, the Sneesby family came back to the U.S. for their home assignment where they have remained due to rejected visas.

Being with their Park family for these past 3 years has been a blessing beyond words. Stacie has reconnected with her dear friends from within the seniors group – people who were an integral part of her 17 years in India, as prayer warriors and encouragers to her family.

Stacie sees the rich beauty of generations represented at Park and is excited to serve the seniors, seeing their programs continue and expand. She has a heart to see a deepened unity across the ages, where the Spirit of the Lord can draw us together for our good and His glory.
