In 2021 we hope to grow spiritually by practicing the timeless disciplines given to us by God, for our good. Our mission at Park Community is to be and make disciples of Jesus Christ. Central to being disciples (aka: apprentices) of Jesus is doing; putting into practice the things we’ve been taught. While listening to the preaching and teaching of God’s word is necessary, apprenticing Jesus requires putting into practice the things he has taught. “If you love me, you will keep my commandments” (John 14:15). “Be doers of the word, and not hearers only” (James 1:22).
In our effort to grow spiritually we’re going to highlight spiritual disciplines this year with a monthly sermon followed by additional resources to help Community Groups or individuals practice the disciplines throughout the month. We will populate this webpage at the beginning of each month with resources for the chosen practice of the month – see below! Thanks for joining us on the journey of spiritual practice in 2021!
